In 2006 I attended First Descents, a nonprofit that provides life-changing outdoor adventure programs for young adults impacted by cancer. I have fond memories of sharing cancer stories, my first successful eskimo roll, kayaking down the Colorado River, and a week packed full of fun and camaraderie. First Descents helped show me that cancer is not an end, but a new beginning with opportunity to challenge myself and better the lives of others.
First Descents is a great organization that has impacted me as well as many other young adult cancer survivors and fighters. I am trying to raise $1000 while hiking the Colorado Trail. Help me reach my goal by making a donation at my “Out Living It” page on First Descent’s website: https://support.firstdescents.org/fundraise?fcid=473935
